Do you have a passion for Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)? We're looking for an experienced SRE professional to guide SAP Concur Cloud Services as we define our approach to service reliability.

The Role

* Establish SRE guidelines and processes for SAP Concur Cloud Services
* Provide thought leadership on reliability across the Technology organization
* Work with development teams to implement SRE best practices, including SLIs/SLOs, monitoring, and incident response
* Provide engineering support to development teams to implement SRE tools and best practices
* Design and develop observability tools to enable service reliability
* Provide technical leadership within the SRE team, and take on management responsibilities as the North America based team grows

Position Requirements

* BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
* Proven leader capable of creating a vision, promoting ideas, and driving change
* 5+ years of software development experience with a solid understanding of the software stack.
* Proven experience implementing and executing on SRE principles.
* Hands on experience in one or more of the following: Python, Java, Go, shell scripting
* Understanding of Linux operating systems, databases, or network engineering
* Experience building highly scalable software services and APIs.
* Expertise in trouble shooting and problem solving across complex systems.
* Curiosity and desire to cover new concepts and technologies.
* A passion for providing customers the best possible experience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

About the Team:

The SRE team within Cloud Services organization at SAP Concur partners with multiple development teams to establish, advance, and support the principles of SRE. The US based team works closely with a partner team in EMEA, and together our teams are changing how we manage our services to provide first-class reliability for our customers. The SRE team provides leadership, knowledge, and support to all our development teams as they work to adopt a more SRE focused approach to managing our applications.
