About

Job Description

Role Responsibilities:

* Provides technical support in sales calls, solution presentations, and assists the sales team with a deep understanding of customer requirements


* Translates customer business objectives and requirements into solutions and level-of-effort estimates for the delivery team to implement those solutions


* Provides input for RFI and RFP responses, including the effort estimates, project team make-up, timeline, implementation methodology and solution components


* Delivers compelling presentations to the customer in support of the sales process


* Anticipates customer needs and identifies appropriate solution alternatives


* Responds to customer questions and objections on technical issues


* Provides informal training and mentoring skills to customers and other Appirio employees


* Validates technical recommendations against customer requirements and assists with preparing statements of work


* Works with the sales and delivery teams to develop customer demonstrations and prototypes, coordinating development activities as required


* Works with the delivery team to handover and support sold projects


* Partners with the Appirio sales team to drive new services revenue



Person Description

Education and Experience:

* Minimum of two years of implementation experience with Salesforce. Longer experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms desirable, as are Salesforce certifications (BA, TA, MVP…)


* Minimum of five years of on-the-job experience and knowledge of client/server or web-based system development processes


* Prior experience with sales process and forecasting of sales cycles


* BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, Information Technology or similar is preferable



Profile

* Candidates must demonstrate experience in enterprise product applications and services engagements


* Prior pre-sales or estimation experience required and must be 'commercially aware'


* Ability to understand and explain technical issues


* Problem-solving skills are essential


* Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills


* Candidates need to be self-confident, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and have an ambition to succeed


* Experience in custom application development required


* Experience with cloud-based solutions preferred but not required


* Ability to connect with customers to become a trusted technical advisor


* Team player with ability to work and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams across sales, delivery, operations, etc.


* Candidates must be able to travel freely across Europe for client work
