Core Duties/Responsibilities

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect

MRM//McCann is seeking a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect to join our team! The Marketing Cloud Architect is a customer-facing strategic position within our Technology organization. With a strong blend of business and technical skills, the Marketing Cloud Architect acts as a domain expert who utilizes a consultative approach to understand our clients' business and technical requirements. The SFMC architect will help our clients achieve true omnichannel customer experience by applying their deep industry knowledge, background, and experience designing enterprise marketing solutions with SFMC.

Responsibilities include:

* Understand the customer need and provide the solution architecture that best addresses the technical and business requirements
* Be the trusted advisor to our customers, prospects and the broader MRM//McCann cross functional teams
* Provide technical effort estimates and timelines
* Lead the implementation of new Salesforce Marketing Cloud opportunities
* Lead the development team which is responsible for the implementation of SFMC services including Journey Builder and various underlaying Studios
* Develop technical integration approaches, including data flow and architectural diagram/visuals.
* Develop customized presentations, demonstrations, and prototypes
* Work with cross functional new business team on new SFMC opportunities

Required skills

* Salesforce certification preferred with extensive experience in SFMC implementations
* Demonstrable experience in email/customer marketing, CRM, analytics or equivalent
* Strong knowledge and experience with integrations to back-end systems, in particular other systems in the Salesforce landscape
* Ability to come up with accurate development estimates based on high-level business and/or technical requirements
* Excellent knowledge of design patterns, OOP, coding standards, algorithm performance & optimization
* Understanding of server side web development design languages, scripting languages, and protocols such as HTML, XML, JavaScript, HTTP, CSS, XSLT, AJAX, JQuery
* Understanding of MySQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server functionality. Understanding of star schema and complex data architectures.
* Understanding of REST/SOAP API integrations, SDKs. • Understanding of the architectural principles of cloud-based platforms including SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, multi-tiered infrastructure and application servers.
* Data mapping & Systems integration experience into marketing automation and service tools
* 7+ years of experience with Web software development
* 3+ years of experience with SFMC or similar, ideally in a leadership role on at least 2 full-scale projects
