The Retail Technology Specialist will be responsible for the service and maintenance of computer and related equipment. He/she will provide a technical and hands on approach to given tasks, exceptional customer service, communicate effectively with the Help Desk and End Users, as well as complete regular written reports. This position is full-time with some after-hours work and on-call responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Complete work order tickets as assigned
* Deploy, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems and peripherals, such as pole displays, touch screen monitors, and receipt printers
* Deploy, troubleshoot, and repair intercom systems, such as speakers, amplifiers, and cabling
* Deploy, troubleshoot, and repair industrial label printers and laser printers
* Deploy and maintain server rack equipment, such as uninterruptible power supply (UPS), patch panels, and other equipment stored within the rack
* Install a Windows operating system image via Windows Deployment Services
* Create new Windows images for deployment in a retail and production environment
* After-hours hardware and software deployment and updates
* Provide great customer service initializing and following up on support issues
* Must be able to remote support end users via the telephone and remote tools regarding hardware and software issues
* Troubleshooting of application errors for custom software, network connectivity errors, POTS telephone faults, and electrical/mechanical faults
* Quick analytical skills to provide appropriate information for Tier 3 support (Engineers and Administrators)
* Create solutions to frequent problems to prevent future issues
* Basic typing skills to create reports and documentation
* Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience: Two years of experience in an Information Technology field. Two-year degree in a computer or technical-related field highly preferred.

Language Skills: Fluent in English, both written and spoken. As well as the ability to translate technical knowledge into laymans terms.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: WA State Drivers License and Acceptable Driving Record. A+ or equivalent preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities:

* Strong understanding of a Windows based environment
* Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, AD Group Policy
* Experience with Microsoft products, specifically the Office Suite
* Basic understanding of a LAN/WAN system
* Must be able to work with multiple teams, departments, and users of varying levels of technical knowledge
* Must be able to work with basic and power tools
* Must be able to work on a ladder
* Must be able to learn new skills quickly and effectively
* Must be able to plan, organize, and prioritize work tasks in a dynamic environment
* Experience with Microsoft Retail Management System (Point of Sale) a plus
* Basic electronics experience a plus, but not required (component level circuitry, soldering, troubleshooting)
