The AWS Architect, Resident Engineer III, will lead a team of 6 AWS-certified engineers and lead the AWS architecture design, implementation and maintenance for GTRI, now Zivaro's, contract supporting the Department of the Interior supporting their GIS applications in the cloud. In addition to leading the technical team on daily delivery to our customer, the selected candidate will support the project lead to manage and support both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

* Day to day interaction with our customers and becoming key leader and trusted agent to all members of the customer program team
* Leading a team of engineers to excel at customer delivery and internal billable goals
* Understanding ArcGIS Enterprise and OpenGeo suite of applications
* Agile development processes and procedures and can work seamlessly in scrum-based environment
* Support project lead to ensure engineering deliverables stay within program budget and schedule
* Leading the development and maintenance of design documentation, internal and external procedures, with little to no assistance
* Providing clear, concise, and timely communication of projects' status to internal and external customers
* Operating under little supervision on large projects; operating independently on small projects
* Achieving GTRI billing time goals while working toward continued training advancement
* Responsible for providing mentorship to engineering team

Physical Requirements:

* Able to travel frequently 10% of the time
* Able to frequently lift up to 35 pounds
* Frequently sit for long periods at desk using computer
* Able to stand for long periods at conferences

Qualifications

ZIVARO is looking for a person who has a minimum bachelor's degree in related field and 10 years of experience, or 14 years of relevant experience. This job requires a US citizen. This person will have at least an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional Certification as well as experience deploying ArcGIS and OpenGeo suite of applications. This person must have the ability to work as a member of the team, excellent communication skills and strong leadership skills.
