Roles & Responsibilities:

Supports the development of end-user requirements, and performs maintenance, support and trouble-shooting of department applications and databases for research departments. Participates in enhancement and development projects, systems configuration and testing. Is understanding and responsive to end-user requirements; manages tables, work files and develops forms and reports. Performs daily system production and operation support. This job is to be used only for in research areas.

1. Builds and configures systems in accordance with requirements and appropriately documents activities.

2. Responsible for regular system maintenance including loading, reviewing and updating system dictionaries, tables, workfiles and user profiles; generates reports as requested.

3. Consults with colleagues to clarify program intent, and refine/improve current applications.

4. Supports system and application operational performance and production.

5. Supports technical projects.

6. Assists system managers or technical leads as required.

Requirements:

* BA/BS in computer science or equivalent training/experience.
* Prior experience in supporting application maintenance activities; working knowledge of PC and PC-based programs.
