We are looking for world-class engineers and scientists who excel at algorithm development and are not intimidated by challenging problems. Aware is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Research Engineer to join its research team at its headquarters in Bedford, MA.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, team-oriented, experienced research scientist or engineer with a good understanding of signal processing and machine learning as it relates to analysis and characterization of the human voice. Aware's voice biometric products are at an early stage, but currently include text-dependent speaker recognition and voice anti-spoofing.

This position requires an organized individual with very strong technical skills who is adept at understanding and solving complex technical problems and eager to explore uncharted territories in voice biometrics.

Responsibilities include combining algorithm research and development with API design and a level of product management that will encompass technical product ownership for Aware's voice biometric initiative. This position will work with the engineering management and staff, and the algorithm research team to implement and advance Aware's voice biometric algorithms and products.

Requirements:

* degree: Ph.D. in computer science, EE or related discipline
* experience in voice biometrics
* strong background in mathematics and statistics
* familiarity with machine learning and deep learning infrastructure and techniques
* proven track record of algorithm development and software implementation
* good writing and oral communication skills
* thorough knowledge and use of modern programming languages and operating systems, ideally including: C++, Python, Swift and Java in Windows, Linux/Unix, iOS and Android environments
