Summary:

ASRC Federal is seeking a Requirement Analyst/Tester to support the Drug Enforcement Administration's application development initiatives. Our software development teams develop cutting-edge applications that directly enable DEA to further its mission. ASRC Federal and DEA are avid practitioners of agile development methodologies, and most of our work is done in a purely agile environment. We use Scrum, continuous integration, and peer reviews on a daily basis, and we adhere to the "inspect and adapt" principle as we seek new ways to innovate.

The successful candidate will work with the DEA's agile development teams and Product Owners to deliver cutting-edge software applications that address all aspects of DEA's mission. Using their sharp analytical skills and depth and breadth of knowledge of DEA systems and business practices, the Requirements Analyst/Tester will help document stakeholder needs, analyze the fundamental and detailed business requirements and create deliverables for development teams, stakeholders and DEA Management.

The primary deliverables from this position are User Stories and Change Requests, along with the supporting requirements and acceptance criteria. Our analysts work directly with clients to create, document, refine, and elicit requirements for software development and database administration activities. They create and/or edit user stories, software requirements specifications, operational procedures, system manuals (for end users and administrators), system architecture documents, risk plans, release notes, test results, and other SDLC and operational documentation. They also create meeting minutes, and assist project managers with other project and contract deliverables.

Description:

Current openings are for people with top-notch experience as requirements analysts and technical writers supporting database administration and application development teams. Experience with operational support activities is a plus. Successful candidates must be able to interface with clients, and to provide briefings, training, and supporting documentation when required. Five years of total experience in IT positions, and three years as a technical writer or requirements analyst are required. This position supports DEA units in Arlington, VA.

Basic Qualifications:

* Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (Interim clearance is fine) and pass DEA Suitability
* 5+ years of experience capturing requirements
* 5+ years of experience testing web applications
* 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office 2010 and higher
* 3+ years of experience writing Agile user stories and requirements documentation
* 2+ years of experience with MS Team Foundation Server (TFS)

Desired Qualifications:

* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* Experience in working in an Agile/SCRUM environment
* Ability to quickly deliver small projects, and to frequently transition between projects and applications
* Understanding of high level user stories and requirements documentation
* Self-starter organized and has a strong attention to detail
* Strong functional analysis skills and the ability to quickly meet an end-to-end view of the business requirements and systems architecture.
* Knowledge of business intelligence technology and concepts is important
