The Apple CDN team wants you to create a team dedicated to enhancing the reliability and performance of the traffic server and surrounding tools comprising the Content Delivery Network. You'll creatively lead your team to design and create systems and tools to locate areas for improvement in performance and reliability with http server software, and fix them.

EXCELLENT WRITTEN AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS Experience creating and leading an engineering team Ability to identify, evaluate and execute strategic plans KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE WITH HTTP SERVERS Experience with revision control systems (primarily git), continuous integration, and all forms of testing methodologies Desire and willingness to work with the Apache Open Source community Ability to work with a team with varied strengths across multiple locations, influence others and build consensus 10+ YEARS SOFTWARE ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE Experience with Apache Traffic Server a plus

The Edge Services team is looking for an authority with strong technical leadership skills to build a software engineering team focused on improving the performance and reliability of its HTTP proxy cache software. You will be responsible for designing and implementing tools that push high performance software to its limits. You'll implement new architecture and scalability solutions to meet ever growing business needs. A strong background in software performance, networking, servers and components, and system level debugging is required.

BS or MS in computer science or related field, 12+ years industry experience in lieu of degree.
