Description: Perspecta has a need for a Red Hat Linux Systems Administrator in Washington, D.C.
Individual will provide advanced systems adminstration of RHEL system. Performs day-to-day systems administration, troubleshooting, and solutioning on RHEL systems in a fast paced environment. Demonstrates and uses scripting, programming and development skills to resolve issues, access/pull system data, and increase efficiencies in processing information and accomplishing system tasks. Provides systems engineering support on large-scale systems, major system elements, and/or interfacing systems. Applies reverse engineering and re-engineering disciplines to troubleshoot and plan strategic system integration and migration.
Supports system tests and analyzes testing results. Required skills includes in-depth experience with
installation, troubleshooting, analysis, design, repair, preventive maintenance, engineering, administration, and building
and understanding of Linux/Unix servers, Oracle database, Apache, Perl/Shell Scripting, VMware, NetApp hardware and
software, and IBM Tivoli Applications/Enterprise Management Applications.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
* Related IT degree with 5-10 years' technical experience
Knowledge and Skills Required:
RHEL Linux systems administration experience.
RHEL scripting and programming experience
RHEL certification preferred.
Master SMEs are required to possess industry standard certification in their primary Scripting and programming experience required.

maintenance, as follows
* Related IT degree with 5-10 years' technical experience, or
* CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have a minimum active Top Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain an Active Top Secret/SCI.
