Job Description:

Broadcom is the market leader in semiconductors for Ethernet Networking products including 10GBASE-T/5GBASE-T/2.5BASE-T/1000BASE-T physical layer, automotive physical layer, automotive switches and automotive controller. We are looking for a dynamic, technically knowledgeable and self-driven individual to be part of a team deploy leading edge product into the market and drive design-ins and assist customers with architecting, developing and integrating Broadcom product. You will have a broad knowledge of Ethernet networking encompassing both hardware and software aspects, and practical experience of designing high performance end equipment using Ethernet Phy, switches and microcontrollers.

Application Engineer you will be responsible for:

* Mange and resolve Customer technical inquiry and issues through Customer Service Portal, emails and Conference calls. Support on site for key customers on critical issues.
* Hands-on bring-up and debug of customer boards to diagnose, troubleshoot, resolve issues.
* Provide technical training to Broadcom Field Application Engineer, Distributor Field Applications Engineers, and key customers on Broadcom products.
* Help develop technical collateral material including: data sheet, application notes, release notes, White papers and other technical documents.
* Assist with software/driver development and debug software/driver issues.
* Review customer schematics and layout.

The successful candidate:

* Bachelor degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Communication Engineering, Master Degree is desired.
* Expertise in 10GBASE-T/5GBASE-T/2.5GBASE-1/1000BASE-T, SGMII, XFI, USXGMII. PCIe and SFI is preferred
* Programming experience in the "C/C++" language
* Windows and Linux driver and systems level software / firmware debugging experience
* Knowledge of high speed PCB layout, signal integrity, and manufacturing/assembly
* Knowledge of scripting, programming skills in C and tool chain
* Business-level of proficiency in English language, both verbal and written.
* Comfortable with providing customer training and positing product.
