Quality Test Automation Software Engineer

Job Description

The ideal candidate is an experienced software automation developer with focus on testability, robustness, and performance. Candidate will help in development of high quality test automation framework.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Designs and develops high quality test automation for use in repeatable automated tests in a DevOps environment
* Tests required code changes while working closely with developers and product owners
* Participate in analyzing requirements, create estimates, formulate test plan, test strategy, builds test scripts, and identifies defects
* Continuously raises the bar for QA practices and needs to be abreast stay up-to-date with the latest technologies both in the company and industry and be able to utilize them to good effect
* Effectively communicates testing , results and risks in oral and written forms

Skills and Requirements

* 3+ years' experience in test automation development in an SDET (software development engineer in test) role
* 3+ years working in an Agile environment
* C#, VB.net, JScript and VBScript experience Required
* Experience with source control tools such as GIT and TFS
* Advanced knowledge of Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery/Deployment practices
* Experience with advanced SQL queries and databases
* Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for both Agile and Iterative methodologies, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and deployment
* Experience with Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS) test management tools, Visual Studio Test Professional and / or Microsoft Test Manager
* Experience developing high quality test plans and test cases
* Experience developing automation tools and frameworks is required
* Experience in quality assurance or control, software testing and ATM and EFT Transaction testing a plus
* Knowledge in Switch/EFT concepts/Financial Transaction processing required a plus
* Experience testing and working knowledge NCR, Diebold, Wincor, Hyosung and Triton ATMs a plus
* Experience in analyzing tracing/logging to assist issue resolution messaging and ATM messaging (NDC+, 912, Triton, ISO8583, XFS ) a plus
* Experience and working knowledge of ATM test automation and simulation tools Clear2Pay / Lexcel) a plus
* Skilled in analysis, solid decision-making and problem solving
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience working multiple concurrent projects
* Demonstrated interpersonal skill and working with technical and non-technical individuals to ensure project requirements are met or exceeded
* Thorough knowledge of testing methodologies and SDLC process.

Education and Qualification

Degree with emphasis Computer Science or Computer Information Systems but not required.
