Job Description

You may think "old" when you think of Institute on Aging ("IOA") because we offer services for seniors and are a 40+ year institute…. but you wouldn't be more wrong. While we do have a long-standing history in California, IOA is on the forefront of revolutionary healthcare models, reshaping the way people can age in place. Our innovative models transform lives, enhance communities, and save healthcare systems millions of dollars. Rather than focusing on archaic outdated design, we strive to consistently question the "status-quo" and create new and more innovative ways to help aging adults maintain their quality of life.

IOA Quality Assurance is seeking a Quality Improvement and Assurance Analyst to join the Quality Improvement and Assurance Department. This position will report to the Senior Director of Quality Improvement and Assurance (QI Senior Director) and will be primarily responsible for planning and evaluation activities through the design and development of data/reports and the analysis and interpretation of data to ensure compliance with the Quality Assurance/Improvement activities for IOA. This includes the development of database tools, analysis and reporting to support IOA-wide programs and activities. Other key duties and responsibilities include:

* Developing and maintaining databases for use in data analysis and tracking
* Analyzing data with statistical methods
* Working with QI Senior Director to develop and operationalize a Quality dashboard
* Presenting data and reports effectively to staff and leadership
* Exploring innovative technologies that drive data collection and analysis
* Working routinely with Operational Program directors and staff to support their reporting needs
* Providing support in documenting and monitoring all IOA written QI plans
* Providing project management and reporting to IOA-wide QI committees on the organization's compliance with all State, Federal and local regulations and requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* BA/BS or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Epidemiology, or other quantitative disciplines
* 5 years of experience in database (DB) reporting data analysis and programming

* 2 years of knowledge of and experience in quality improvement, data collection, preparation and presentation of reports
* 2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* 2 years of experience in SQL and DB design and maintenance experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and above
* 2 years of experience in Adobe
* 2 years of experience in VBA, Python 3.5 and Crystal Reports
