About

Job Description

What will you be doing?:

* Develops and implements quality plans, programs, processes, and procedures using statistical quality control methods, lean concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses.


* Ensures that performance and quality of services performed by ITC conforms to established company, regulatory, customer, and contractual standards.


* Reviews, analyzes, and reports on quality discrepancies related to project and corporate processes.


* Investigates problems, identifies root cause, and develops mitigation plans to address root cause and prevent recurrence.


* Interfaces with program managers, customers, vendors and subcontractor's representatives to ensure all pertinent requirements are met.


* Recommends corrective actions, process improvements, and best practices to increase organizational effectiveness and efficiency.



Responsibilities:

* Establish a standard of performance and quality across ITC support functions and all client-facing programs
* Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality policies, processes, and procedures to ensure space-related products and services are delivered to the customer on schedule, at minimum cost, while being fully compliant with contractual and statutory requirements.
* Based on contractual statements of work, conduct mandatory, periodic inspections during the period of performance of each program to ensure that key service levels, customer requirements, and deliverables are being provided on time and are in alignment with quality standards.
* Impose quality flow down requirements on all services provided. Candidate must be willing to travel to perform process inspections at various federal customer agencies.
* Interfaces with all internal corporate departments, all programs, and all internal and external customers to include participation in formal quality initiatives and resolution of any open issues.
* Provides QA support to organizational documentation and reporting; this includes, as assigned, preparation of any presentation materials, review of internal and external documentation, sign-off on technical reviews; attendance at meetings, and support for action item and finding remediation to closure.
* Establish and maintain Quality Assurance programs, procedures, and controls, ensuring that products and services conform to company standards of excellence.
* Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality policy, process, and procedure within the Quality Management System (QMS) including performance of internal audits to assess conformance.
* Review practices, procedures and processes seeking avenues to improve efficiency and effectiveness and reduce risk to product quality.
* Interpret customer technical requirements, and ensure these requirements are integrated into program plans, specification, etc.
* Ensure program contract requirements are flowed down internally and to subcontractors.
* Ensure compliance with contract, program, quality, organizational, and industry requirements.
* Provide oversight in discrepancy review and failure investigations and facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action determinations. Analyze and interpret trends and execute improvements on key performance metrics.
* Represent ITC Quality Assurance team at various program reviews and conduct review boards including, but not limited to, Configuration Control Boards (CCB), Program Management Reviews (PMR), Design/Peer Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, and Corrective Action Board (CAB) meetings.
* Ensure risk management activities are executed according to organizational standards and procedures.

Required:

* Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required
* Must have minimum of 6 years of relevant Quality Assurance experience in a Federal contracting environment
* Efficient at MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office system
* Extensive knowledge of root cause and corrective action tools
* Previous experience managing/supporting elements of a Quality Management System such as AS, ISO, and/or CMMI (including conducting audits)
* Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work well in a team environment
* Must be a self-motivated, high energy, organized individual with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize varied tasking to meet critical deadlines
