Treasury Technology is a new Function within Corporate Technology that drives the change agenda for Group Treasury and parts of Finance. Treasury Technology is developing a large suite of new applications, portfolio of change, whilst also generating significant revenue for Deutsche Bank, is primarily Regulatory driven - enabling a range of critical disclosures for Liquidity, Funding, Capital and Collateral. Much of this infrastructure is supporting daily processes and Regulatory disclosures and therefore demands a step-change in application functionality, reporting and data sourcing.

Treasury Technology manage a portfolio of applications covering a range of Treasury Functions including Liquidity Risk Management, Asset Liability Management, Funds Transfer Pricing and Portfolio Management.

Job Overview & Typical Profile

Job Overview

Deutsche Bank is looking for an experienced, motivated QA Test Engineer. This is a hands on role requiring strong technical skills in various automation frameworks and a good understanding of the Testing Practices to support the growth and testing of the Liquidity Reporting Application with the ability to take decisive and timely action even under high pressure.

Typical Profile

You are expected to have professional QA experience on significant technology initiatives across complex organizations.

You should have a career history which demonstrates a track record of successful delivery balancing a structured approach with pragmatism. They should be able to demonstrate an approach which appropriately balances time to market, quality and cost.

You should have great communication skills and show adaptability of communication to suit the audience.

Prior experience working for a major global Investment Bank (ideally within a Treasury function) would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

* Understand the programme of work and current state technical landscape within Treasury
* Accountable for ensuring that the software delivered meets functional and non-functional requirements
* Accountable for assisting IT application team in achieving quality product by identifying defects and deficiencies early and providing MIS for continuously improving the development and testing process
* Accountable for ensuring that the software delivered adheres to the architectural specifications
* Collaborate and developers and architects to deliver component designs
* Facilitate high level estimating and release planning
* Stakeholder communication

Education / Qualifications:

* Degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent certification and/or relevant work experience)
* Any other Testing Related certifications

QA Engineering Experience

Experience in the following areas:

* A thorough understanding of quality assurance principles
* Good working knowledge of the use of Jira / Defect Management tools
* Strong analytical skills, considers alternatives and willing to bring these up within team meetings as appropriate rather than accepting the status quo
* Good working Knowledge of Software Versioning. i.e. Git Flow
* Test planning, designing, and test strategy/case/script creation and execution
* Ability to Run / Execute Reports / Create Ad-Hoc Reports in Business Objects / Tableau
* Experience working in an agile environment
* Experience with integration & regressions testing and coordination with supporting systems
* Experience working in a test driven development domain
* Good Understanding of Automated testing tools (Rational Robot, Silktest, WinRunner, HP UFT, QuickTest Pro, RIATest, Green Hat etc)
* Knowledge of white/black box level testing, system and performance testing of applications using industry standard practices and tools

Technical Experience

Mandatory Skills:

* Experience in software development, testing and support with hands-on testing
* Strong experience in software development processes, models, lifecycles and methodologies
* Ability to write Oracle SQL to extract and fabricate data in database
* Comfortable with large data sets and querying data
* Comfortable in Maintaining & Executing Tests using JUnit
* Good understanding of ETL Testing
* Ability to Run / Execute Reports / Create Ad-Hoc Reports in Business Objects / Tableau
* Have a reasonable understanding of Big Data infrastructure

Industry / Domain Experience

Hands-on knowledge of enterprise technology platforms supporting the Finance, Risk and Treasury domains would be an advantage. For example:

* Knowledge of the Finance/controlling domain and end-to-end workflow for a banking & trading businesses
* Knowledge of Treasury: liquidity, funding, capital and collateral; and their management in a large financial institution
* Knowledge of the investment banking, sales & trading, asset management and similar industries is a strong advantage
