Digital innovation is transforming healthcare, and the Innovation and Digital Health team (IDHA) at Boston Children's Hospital is designing digital solutions to enhance access to world-class pediatric expertise and build the care delivery model of the future. We are a multidisciplinary team spanning tech, business/strategy, and clinical backgrounds, working collaboratively to vet promising BCH-grown and external digital innovations and bring them to life. This QA Specialist II will be responsible for:

* Leading internal testing of new and updated software applications to ensure they meet reliability and performance standards. This includes writing test plans and scenarios. Planning test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
* Diagnosing, reporting, and tracking quality issues with program function, output, online screen, or content. Using a structured written format to provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.
* Implementing automated QA tools to test applications for defects; customizes and updates tools, as necessary to ensure currency.
* Serving as a quality representative on one or more project teams engaged in software development activities. Providing guidance and support in quality system methodologies.

To qualify you must have:

* The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree and one year of post-degree course work and/or five to seven years' experience.
* Communication skills in order persuade and negotiate with others on important matters.
* The ability to set priorities and multi-task in a fast paced environment. Experience working in a variety of programming languages and platforms.
* Excellent analytical abilities to grasp the key points from complicated details.
* Familiarity with the tools, concepts and methodologies of quality management. Work requires experience diagnosing, reporting, tracking and resolving quality issues and the ability to use/develop automated QA solutions.
* Attention to detail and excellent report writing skills.
