The QA Manager is responsible for managing all the QA and end to end testing activities for IT projects

Essential Tasks

Requires broad IT knowledge as well as advanced expertise with software test standards and a wide variety of methods. Requires knowledge of a wide range of programming and scripting languages. Must be able to evaluate user requirements relative to current system functionality. Requires clear written and verbal communication in a technical context. Must be able to lead teams.

* Works with cross-functional teams including business owners from multiple domains including branch and sales operations, supply chain, accounting and finance, merchandising among all other business functions. They will also work regularly with the broader IT team consisting of Business Analysts and Solution Architects
* Has accountability for successful project delivery.
* Partner with business in enabling complex testing strategies with automation.
* Ensures that projects deliver not only on functionality, but also follow and enhance the overall QA processes, and adhere to company's methodology and technical strategy. Define test automation standard methodologies, standards, and guidelines; provide oversight as appropriate.
* Fosters open communication within and between teams that span business and IT
* -Communicates effectively with IT management and senior leadership, including providing overall project status & health.
* -Stays abreast of industry trends and best practices. Stay apprised of innovative test automation approaches and tooling trends.
* -Execute on and/or own the design, implementation, and evolution of test automation framework(s).
* -Research and implement advanced features of test automation

in support of an agile environment.

* -Lead and mentor QA team members, as well as manage offshore and outside contract testers.

Skills

* - Experience leading and coordinating combinations of both onsite and offshore QA teams.
* Strong working experience in Tricentis Tosca & model-based automation solutions required.
* Proficient in working with cross-functional teams(Different technologies, web-based, .net, iSeries, etc).
* Strong experience in one or many scripting languages (VBScript, JavaScript, C#, etc.).
* Hands-on experience utilizing various open source and market-leading vended solutions.
* Strong analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience implementing Service Virtualization for QA teams.

Knowledge in Test/Defect Management tools.

Broad knowledge of QA project management.

The primary environment is characterized by ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment found in a typical office environment.

Qualifications

* A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems.Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience.

Professional Experience

* 5+ years of experience as a QA manager with a proven record of accomplishment of delivery, strong strategic vision, and ability to inspire/mentor QA teams, team/performance management and delivering quality results
