THE ROLE

We have relationships with hundreds of vendors in the alternative data space and this number will only continue to grow. We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer to leverage industry best-practices to assist with our testing practices.

Responsibilities:

* Evaluates and, as needed, recover testing automation initiatives.
* Executes test cases. Determines the correct level of regression testing based on planned changes
* Works with the team to maximize the quality of deliveries
* Contributes to initiatives that improve the consistency and quality of our products
* Help in ensuring and minimizing production errors participates in reviews at all phases of the development cycle

Requirements:

Must Haves :

* Understanding of manual and automation testing - proficient in test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium and Protractor end-to-end framework for Angular JS
* Has a strong working knowledge of software testing and has applied that knowledge across a number of projects in a team setting
* Experience working on agile development teams involved in new product development. Broad and deep application testing skills (manual and automated)
* Naturally curious about the ability to break software in a constructive manner
* Experience setting up manual/automation/regression test scenarios
* Interaction and coordination with Development teams & other teams like Growth and Production Support
* SQL experience with the ability to write basic SQL queries to retrieve data for verifications

Nice-to-haves :

* Exposure to ETL, Financial Domain and Capital Markets Asset Classes is a plus
* Experience with the architecture of cloud-based platform is a plus
* Experience in a startup company a plus
* Experience working on agile development teams involved in new product development. Broad and deep application testing skills (manual and automated)
* Proficient in JIRA. Test Rail is a plus
