Project Manager, Warehouse Automation

POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Manager, Warehouse Automation, will take a leading role in supporting Pactiv's warehouse automation transformation on a range of new engineering projects that include automated guided vehicles, automated storage and retrieval systems, conveyor systems, and warehouse management software.

This position is for Pactiv, a company of Reynolds Group Holding Inc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Overall management and direction for direct reports, including contractors and consultants
* Managing the overall project management process.
* Developing project plans and solutions.
* Creating economic analyses and Capital Authorization Requests (CARs)
* Performing Failure Mode Effect Analyses (FMEA).
* Holding regular project status meetings and documenting project status.
* Completing and submitting internal and external status reports.
* Proactively communicating information needed by team members to complete their tasks
* Creating equipment specifications for supplier RFP
* Participating in supplier meetings; secure bids from qualified equipment suppliers.
* Identifying, documenting, and tracking issues, risks, and dependencies
* Seeking out, implementing, and documenting problem resolutions
* Identifying and implementing process improvements
* Following-up on open issues and action items to ensure they are resolved
* Ensuring that Pactiv leadership has a comprehensive understanding of projects, timelines, dependencies, etc.
* This position may include any other duties assigned by Engineering Leadership team.

EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Operations, Engineering, or related field and successful demonstration of Responsibilities and Knowledge.
* 5+ years of project management experience.
* Prior experience managing people or processes.
* Experience managing automation projects that include (but are not limited to): automated guided vehicles, automated storage and retrieval systems, conveyor systems, warehouse management software, etc.
* Ability to travel as business needs require, up to 50% within North America. International travel will be very infrequent.

* Ability to manage multiple projects teams concurrently
* Ability to understand information quickly, derive insight, synthesize information clearly and concisely, and devise solutions
* Inclination to take ownership of assigned direction, initiatives and independently drive for results
* Ability to interface at all levels of the organization within and outside of the company
* Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
* Strong meeting facilitation skills
* Demonstrated self-confidence, honesty and integrity
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, including MS Project, AutoCad and SAP.
* Experience with JDA/WMS a plus
