Overview:

The Finance department within KARL STORZ Endoscopy-America, Inc. (KSEA) has launched an initiative toward continuous improvement and efficiency. Some elements of this initiative are grass roots in nature, and others are strategic. Many of the elements will require significant problem solving, technology, outside expertise and other forms of work which should be managed professionally in the form of projects to increase their success rate.

Scope:

The Project Manager will serve as a member of the Value Delivery Office based in El Segundo, CA. He/she reports to the Sr. Manager, Value Delivery Office, and is responsible for business case development, project management and project results for KSEA business improvement initiatives.

To be successful, this individual must:

* Leverage experience to promote effective project management best practices
* Support development of detailed improvement proposals and presentation of business cases to demonstrate ROI to gain buy in of key stakeholders
* Apply experience and project management skills to execute projects and deliver results on time and within budget
* Work with project teams to understand, document and manage project objectives, requirements, scope, schedules and resources
* Lead and coordinate execution of project work
* Provide visibility to project status to key stakeholders and management
* Identify, communicate and manage risks and issues
* Manage project quality to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and value delivery
* Manage vendor selection process as required
* Report on project results after project closure


* Apply technical experience and expertise to ensure success of complex software and technology projects
* Thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment with multiple, simultaneous and fluid priorities
* Successfully navigate the KARL STORZ organization and culture locally, as well as globally

Qualifications

* BS/BA required
* Advanced professional certification in project management required
* 5+ years relevant work experience required
* Agile experience required, Certified Scrum Master preferred
* Experience with complex software projects is required, ERP (SAP) application experience preferred
* Experience working with MS Project required, MS Project Server preferred
* Understanding of process improvement, accounting / finance principles and operations strongly preferred
* Sound foundation in IT solutions is required, ERP (SAP) application experience preferred
* Business Analyst experience preferred
* Healthcare, medical device or a related industry experience preferred

Prior experience working with global organizations preferred.
