It#s Work That Matters. # Reporting to the Information Services PMO, IS Project Managers will be accountable for management of a variety of initiatives across one or multiple portfolios. The Project Manager will assume primary control of projects in a matrix environment, accountable for scope, schedule # budget. Primary responsibilities and activities include a majority of the following: # # Work across various portfolios to execute business demand # Support initiatives across all phases of the Project Management # System Development Life Cycle # Plan, schedule and track multiple projects, with related cost estimation # scope control responsibilities # Support project-chartering process and project setup # Identify, prioritize and mitigate project risks # Provide an escalation channel to the PMO # Project stakeholders # Manage a cross-functional team driving motivation, collaboration # performance # Implement project management processes appropriate to the size and scope of the project # Provide timely project status on a recurring basis regarding project metrics (schedule, budget variances) # Provide oversight and control of any external resources contracted to the project # Review the project#s medium-term benefits (for example, to support business-case process improvement) # Drive the project closure process # ensure operational hand-off is successful M # Minimum Experience Required: # At least 3 years direct work experience in an IT project or program management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution # Proven experience in managing full life cycle information systems projects, large scale systems development and/or information technology initiatives preferably in Healthcare # Experience in a healthcare environment preferred # Excellent communication skills (verbal # non-verbal) # Minimum Education/Training Required: Bachelor#s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Systems or combination of experience and study is desirable. SOLID CERNER EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.# # License, Registration or Certification Required: PMI certification or equivalent experience is highly desirable. # Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: # Identify project requirements to the necessary level for planning and scheduling purposes # Estimate the project#s effort from functional requirements, working with technical domain experts o Prioritize trade-offs between on-time, on-scope or on-budget delivery # Skilled at project scheduling, including via automated tools, and can analyze progress and trade-offs # Able to manage multiple projects in parallel of varying size and scope # Implement project change process, as appropriate for scope control and change processes o Can debate effectively for or against project changes, as appropriate # Sufficient communication and organization skills to implement a formal communications plan # Capable of project risk assessment, monitoring and mitigation planning # Team management # leadership skills sufficient to facilitate conflict and issue resolution # Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Project, Powerpoint, Excel, Visio # Word #
