Project Manager

This requirement is in task order stage of the process and each candidate considered will be fully screened by our recruiter and technical team lead and if so chosen to proceed in consideration, provisioned an Offer Letter of Intent (LOI). This LOI will need to be reviewed, signed and returned to HighPoint given us full approval to submit the aligned candidates resume to our customer for consideration of this task order.

HighPoint has an opening for a Project Manager to provide leadership, supervision and management of a contractor team for application systems development and implementation. Experience working with work break down structures, project structure, scheduling, earn value metrics systems and Agile.

Responsible for day-to-day project management, including development of project management plans and baselines and release schedules. Responsible for oversight of full life cycle development and operations maintenance support, including adherence to agency SDLC processes and performance standards. Responsible for scope, schedule, and cost management. Responsible for risk and issue management to include identification of mitigation strategies and escalation of risks and issues. Responsible for ongoing communication.

Experiencing managing team of at least 10 staff consisting of software developers, DBAs, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance Specialists providing DME and O&M support to applications developed in Java and the Oracle technology stack. Experience with financial systems/applications is preferred.

EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

* A Bachelor's degree is required. Preferred in Information Technology / Computer Science or related field
* At least 5 years IT experience
* At least 5 years project management experience

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

* PMP Certification, required
* Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Ensure all deliverables are of the highest quality and meets the established schedule, cost and performance metrics.
* Responsible for the scheduling of project work and submittal of contract deliverables to include the preparation and delivery of the customer's technical status reports.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 80% of the time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc.

Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of time

WORK ENVIRONMENT:Individual's primary workstation is located in an office area

The noise level in this environment is low to moderate
