This position will assist the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between Core Team leader, and Core Team members with the day to day project management duties. It also interacts with the cross-functional team members (R&D, Product & Quality engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Regulatory, HF, Clinical, Operations / Supply Chain) focusing on the delivery of new or existing products.

This position will give someone the fundamentals to eventually become a Program Manager and Core Team Lead.

A Day in the Life

* Insure projects are run in compliance with the Design Control SOP or their subordinate DOP's.
* Maintain the project Design History file in a manner consistent with Design Control and Medtronic SOP requirements.
* Assist core team activities such as project meetings by documenting meeting minutes, action items and deliverables and track/monitor for completion.
* Provide support to Program Manager in execution of programs
* Partner with documentation control for review and release of documents within Agile Product Lifecycle Management
* Assist with the operational and country launch readiness activities for programs

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

* Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
* Manages the development and implementation process of a company's products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products.
* Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
* Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.
* Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
* Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

* Bachelors degree required
* Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience

Nice to Have

* Prior experience as a project manager in the development and manufacturing of medical devices
* Understanding of ISO and FDA guidelines concerning Product Development
* Documentation Control / Supply Chain / Operations experience
* Understanding of documentation systems, such as Agile and ability to work with Microsoft Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
* A desire to move forward with Project and Program Management as a career
* Ability to lead by influence and strong sense of ownership
* Quick learner and strong drive and sense of urgency
* Strong collaboration and communication skills
* Ability to deal with uncertainty
