Job Description

Zurich is currently searching for a Project Leader Manager II to work out of our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.

As a key member of the IT Services Enterprise Data Management team supporting our Enterprise Data Management solutions, she/he will focus on projects of large size and complexity utilizing traditional Waterfall and Agile methodologies. The Project Leader Manager will have responsibility in managing a team, consisting of both internal and external resources, working with project Scrum leaders, Workstream leads and will define the business problem and formulate the project/systems scope and objectives. She/he will also utilize a detailed understanding of insurance, processes, and business systems to drive the research and analysis of the defined problem, design the recommended solution, and implement the solution, addressing associated change management.

Specific responsibilities include:

* Acting as a thought partner with key stakeholders and business leaders
* Manage stakeholders to meet expectations and objectives by defining project schedules, resource plan, implementation and release plans
* Driving project efforts in alignment with assurance providers such as Compliance, Group Information Security, Legal and Regulatory
* Business systems analysis responsibilities include leading the project team to capture business requirements and functional design of the system solution
* Aligning and defining scope of projects and working with architects, business analysts and development teams in the design and development of the solutions prior to handoff to the production support group
* Driving data & analytics projects across technical underwriting, finance, claims on Cloud data lake, big data, reporting and visualization initiatives
* Responsible for entire SDLC of a project from inception to implementation
* Responsible for Vendor management and contract management

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Project Management And Communications area

OR
* High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Project Management And Communications area

AND
* Experience in strategic and operational consulting or business systems integration
* 3 or more years of people management and development experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* CPCU
* Microsoft Azure
* Agile Methodology
* Project Management Institute Project Management Professional Certification
* In-depth knowledge of financial services industry
* Strong analytical skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills
* Strategic operational Consulting experience
