Job Summary: Under direct supervision from a Project/Portfolio Manager, assists in daily coordination of projects including preparing and maintaining project plans, budgets, and staffing requirements. Essential Job Functions: 1. Assists with the creation of reports on project performance including schedule, budget and quality 2. Assists in preparation and maintenance of project budgets. 3. Assists with arranging meetings, developing agendas, producing meeting minutes, and preparing progress reports. 4. Responsible for project documentation such as issue/action item logs, risk logs, project meeting agendas, and project meeting minutes. 5. Communicates to internal and external clients. 6. Develops and utilizes data gathering tools, such as surveys/questionnaires, work sampling, financial modeling, etc. to ensure that appropriate quantitative and qualitative data is gathered for project justification and business case. 7. Analyzes data including costs, time-lines, technical functions, benefits and risks. 8. Conducts studies to determine staffing requirements, and evaluate competencies and learning needs of assigned project team members. 9. Prepares preliminary interpretations of analyses for project teams, clients, and/or department management. Other Functions: 1. Establishes and builds strong working partnership with associates and external business departments 2. Performs special projects and other duties as may be assigned. 3. Complies with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at the Company. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred. 2. 1+ years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of training and experience) 3. Ability to perform basic functions in at least one of the following competencies of PMBOK: cost, scope, time management 4. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form 5. Familiarity with MS Project or other project management application 6. Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite 7. Effective oral and written communication skills 8. Basic knowledge of various IT project methodologies which may include waterfall, iterative and agile. 9. Knowledge of activities, tasks, practices and deliverables associated with eliciting and clearly defining and documenting business requirements for functional as well as non-functional requirements. 10. Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for design and development of paper-based and online technical reference documentation, guidelines, standards, procedures, processes, applications, etc. 11. Ability to write business requirements and functional specifications. 12. Strong writing and communication skills. 13. Strong customer service orientation (responsive, consultative, collaborative and accurate). 14. Strong interpersonal relationship building skills: able to work with a variety of people and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
