JOB SUMMARY:

Assist in the functional needs analysis and provide the defined functionality through application code development. Ensure systems developed are integrated into the technical and functional environments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Contribute to customer and Systems Analyst definition of functional specifications.
* Translate functional specifications into programming and sub-system specifications.
* Estimate work effort and timeframe for completion.
* Code application in appropriate programming language, job control language, and utilities.
* Develop and execute unit and systems integration test plans.
* Prepare and test Operations instructions for developed programs and sub-systems.
* Maintain assigned systems' application source code and job control language.
* Analyze system problems, write and test code for problem resolution.
* Maintain and resolve code problems on both a scheduled and on-call basis.
* Meet scheduling deadlines and project commitments.
* Train Computer Operators and End Users on the developed systems.
* Document technical and functional aspects of the program or sub-system.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* Education AA or BS degree in Computer Science with an emphasis on application programming and systems analysis/development

Work Experience:

* 3 years software development
* Some business knowledge of Healthcare Industry
* Knowledge of database design
* Knowledge of relevant programming language
* Knowledge of communications across various platforms

Special Requirements:

* Team focused; Some travel may be necessary
* After hours and weekend support as needed.
