Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for leading American Corporations. This is a Contract position and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Location: Dallas, TX

Role: Programmer

Primary Skills: .NET

Role Description: The Programmer would need to have at least 5 years of experience. In this role, you will be responsible to create a web-based application accessing and utilizing multiple different data sources and developing database tables where none exist. This roll will interface with various stakeholders to develop the complete solution.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

* Complete development efforts (application and report development) within scheduled timeframes
* Collaborate with business to understand system issues and impacts to the business and user experiences
* Communicate and report status/metrics to project manager
* Adhere to established IT standards and procedures

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in technical discipline preferred
* 3+ years of experience in custom application development
* Relevant certifications and experience preferred

Minimum Skill Requirements:

* Skilled problem solver with the desire and proven ability to create innovative solutions
* Flexible and adaptable attitude, disciplined to manage multiple responsibilities
* Formal or informal technical leadership experience
* Strong communicator who can explain and present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
* Advanced understanding of software development "best practices"
* Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Experiences with the following Technologies:

* Programming languages C++, Classic ASP, ASP.NET, and VB
* Java Web Development (Java, AngularJS)
* Data Warehousing experience
* Database development using SQL and Oracle
* Automated Unit Testing & Mocking
* Continuous Integration
* Object Oriented Development
* Python is a plus

Measures of Success:

* Timely development of assigned components with minimal defects and rework
* Ability to execute timely reporting and status to project manager and leadership teams
* Ability to identify risks or issues that impede development
* Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders to ensure successful and timely completion of programs and work practices

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent.
