Program Specialist IV-The Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) Program Specialist assists in maintaining the integrity of the agency's applications utilized by HHSC state supported living centers and state hospitals, HHSC Facility Management and Leasing (FML), and HHSC Regional Administrative Services (RAS). This position is the CAFM Office Report Lead; creates complex reports using Structured Query Language (SQL) and BIRT (Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools). This position analyzes and corrects data or provides directions for end users to correct data. Analyzes needed improvements in system. Responsible for completing special complex projects as assigned by the CAFM Systems Design Administrator and CAFM Manager. This position also functions as secondary customer support for all end users of the CAFM applications. In conjunction with the CAFM Training Coordinator, may provide training for all end users. Mentors CAFM end users and helps them improve their user skills in CAFM software applications. Helps develop and test new procedures. Assists in testing new software, upgrades, and modules used by the CAFM office. Assists in long range strategic planning efforts. Performs related work as assigned and participates as a team member in the establishment of goals and objectives. Works under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. May be assigned to actively participate and/or serve in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Reports directly to the CAFM Manager. Essential Job Functions:

Provide customer support to end users of the Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) system applications. This includes creating complex reports using Structured Query Language (SQL) and BIRT (Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools); running routine reports for maintenance of data; coordinating reporting needs and support with other members of the CAFM office; identifying the need for and writing new procedures; working with technical staff as needed to resolve problems. Serve as the main CAFM point of contact for end-users for information and data collection (40%).

Assist in maintaining CAFM system data integrity (25%).

Develop and run routine and ad hoc reports using SQL, BIRT, Tririga Queries and exporting to Excel (15%).

Record and report on customer support requests in CAFM 10 Service Request application. (5%).

Assist in validating and testing CAFM software applications. (5%).

Assist in long range planning for CAFM initiatives. This includes participating in CAFM meetings, as well as collecting data and doing research as required (5%).

Perform other tasks as assigned by the CAFM Manager (5%).

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

Knowledge Skills Abilities: Experience providing customer support in a technical environment. Ability to write complex SQL script. Experience with Tririga. Experience with BIRT (Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools), Crystal Reports, or similar software. Skill with Microsoft Office applications, emphasis on Excel. Experience implementing quality control procedures for maintaining data integrity. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Registration or Licensure Requirements:
