Overview

The Senior Analyst, Program Scheduling is responsible for assisting with the scheduling strategy for our flagship network ION Television across both the linear and non-linear platforms.

Responsibilities

This position will execute operational responsibilities related to the scheduling of ION Television linear TV network. You will work closely with the rest of the Content team and be an active participant in the long-term schedule planning and strategy of the network. You will also be responsible for inputting content metadata into scheduling systems, tracking industry trends and competitive landscape, and maintaining key events and calendars related to scheduling activity.

* Plan, create, maintain and distribute annual, quarterly, and monthly schedules for ION Television.
* Track and monitor schedule ensuring compliance with contractual rights within the Content Rights Management Software.• Develop and manage episodic run patterns of series and movies, and generate ideas for stunts and marathons, specials etc. • Work closely with the Content team regarding Original Programming and other show launch schedules. • Serve as a liaison and manage schedule information flow to Marketing, On-Air promotions, Traffic and other teams.• Liaison with other networks for scheduling of shared content.• Enter ION Television schedule into Nielsen systems as required.• Create monthly VOD and other non-linear schedules with metadata information.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree required.• 2-4 years of program scheduling or similar background at a national broadcast or cable TV network.• Exceptional attention to detail and super organized.• Ability to multi-task and work effectively under changing priorities and time constraints.• Need to have solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team and communicate with staff at all levels.• Self-starter, able to be proactive and work independently, with a "can do" attitude.• Excellent knowledge of television and film, specifically in the drama genre.• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.• Familiarity with content rights management and/or scheduling systems a plus (RightsLogic, Broadview, WideOrbit etc.).
