Job Description

CTG is seeking a Program / Project Management Lead for an 18 month Contract located in San Mateo / San Jose Metropolitan Area. This individual will deliver Program and Project Management Consulting services to help the client achieve IT-related business goals, manage large to medium-sized engagements and will work closely with client IT directors and engagement managers.

Responsibilities

n Create program and project based solutions to address client's business objectives, processes with respect to technical environment

n Identify project team resource needs and coach team / develop team members

n Working with client, align project portfolio to program objectives

n Execute project management activities for identified work areas leveraging PMI methodologies and client approach (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc.)

Duties

n Understand overall engagement goals and specific client objectives

n Function as engagement manager, aligning team members to client needs as they develop

n Develop objectives based project charters with supporting plans

n Submit internal and external status reports, ensuring status reports identify, analyze, and suggest solutions to issues

n Maintain project plans and other tools to ensure engagement is on track

n Develop project collateral, as defined by client project processes, and supervise the contributions of others

n Develop project communication or training materials and supervise the contributions of others

n Coach other consultants in subject matter expertise and consulting skills

n Participate in project estimating and planning as needed

n Perform other duties as assigned to fulfill responsibilities

Qualifications

n Bachelor's degree required

n Minimum of five years of experience in a program management or consulting practice focused on the Financial Industry

n Working knowledge of at least one financial industry core process (e.g. credit scoring, regulatory compliance, KYC, etc.)

n PMP certification

n Expertise in creating business/technology alignment for Financial processes

n Expertise in program and project management processes

n Expertise in vendor management skills

n Ability to manage a geographically dispersed / remote and cross-functional team

n Working knowledge of at least one financial industry core process (e.g. credit scoring, regulatory compliance, KYC, etc.)

n Working knowledge of ITIL, IT service management practices
