Job Description

Come help AWS build scalable onboarding experiences that accelerate success for new employees around the world! The AWS New Employee Success Team is looking for an experienced program manager who thrives in a dynamic environment, is a creative and flexible problem-solver, and is good at keeping a globally dispersed, matrixed team on track to deliver. The role requires an individual who can innovate, move quickly, and not be constrained by how things have been done before. The role also requires collaboration with a variety of stakeholders including subject matter experts (SMEs) and senior level leaders across multiple disciplines/functional roles.

The ideal candidate should be creative, analytical, and customer-obsessed. They must be self-driven and possess the ability to work in an ambiguous environment with minimal guidance, skilled at anticipating problems, creating contingency plans, managing multiple priorities, problem solving and organizing logistics.

The primary responsibilities for the AWS Onboarding PM include:

* Serve as single point of contact and coordinate high quality delivery of AWS Onboarding in North America
* Plan, organize, and deliver the weekly IAD New Hire Orientation
* Collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders including SMEs and senior level leaders across multiple disciplines/functional roles to scale and constantly raise the bar for the AWS Onboarding program and related initiatives
* Define project scope, goals, and deliverables; define tasks and required resources
* Coordinate the activities of a cross-functional project team
* Lead meetings and set expectations for project team; monitor and report on project progress
* Present to stakeholders on progress as well as problems and solutions
* Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project goals
* Monitor quality standards for deliverables
* Evaluate and assess results of projects

The role is based out of Herndon, VA and will report to the Director, New Employee Success, AWS HR.
