Job Description

What does the Professional Services Engineer Do?

The Professional Services Engineer delivers and implements process designs to clients in all lines of business. This includes technical support of customer and internal software and hardware systems.

Responsibilities:

* Lead business discovery meetings in collaboration with other MetaSource Consultants
* Gather business requirements and establish technical specifications for the client's customized solution
* Manage complex client projects that encompass large scope or require more complex solutions
* Work on customized solutions to integrate with business applications such as ERP, SIS, or other line of business applications
* Create technical documents such as Requirements Documents and Administration Guides to be distributed to clients once project is completed. In addition, participate in creating and documenting best practices for API Solutions
* Produce Test Plans for product creation- testing the client's customized solution prior to the deployment of the solution
* Prior to the deployment of a customized solution, collaborate with clients, Project Leads and Managers to discuss changes to product functionality and ensure quality and consistency of the final product
* In collaboration with the client's Technical Business Unit, deploy the customized solution into the client's site
* Accurately manage and report all time worked on client projects
* Support reseller and customer OnBase API development efforts through participating and consulting services, including presenting, answering, and informing future clientele at conferences
* Communicates with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner
* Complies with and adheres to MetaSource policies and procedures

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree preferred
* Minimum of 3-5 years .NET programming or equivalent language experience (C#, VB.net, ASP.Net, C++)
* Experience in client side development using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML 5, CSS 3, and AJAX
* Ability to read, write, and interpret technical documentation
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Experience in managing business discovery meetings at client sites to a diverse audience
* Experience with SQL Server
* Knowledge of different data transfer protocols: HTTP(S), XML, JSON
