Products Portfolio Manager Technical Lead

Job Description

The Investment and Capital Markets Division (I&CM) of Freddie Mac's software development team is looking for a Technology Portfolio Manager Technical Lead to understand and help drive direction for over 100 technology products owned by I&CM. This is a newly created role you will help to shape as you tackle several diverse responsibilities.

Your work falls into three primary categories:

Research and develop a catalog of the full application stack owned by ICM BTO

* Working with business users and application SMEs, understand and document the following for every product:
* Business Purpose
* Stakeholders
* Interfaces
* Interdependencies on other ICM products
* Any databases updated by the product
* Dependency on other databases (ICM or other)
* Document the databases ICM products depend

Continuously monitor the set of products for redundancy and consistency with ICM BTO standards and best practices

* Help review and document new proposals for software products, including analyzing if something that could be leveraged already exists
* Analyze existing products with a view to eliminating redundancy and retiring out of date applications.
* Review products for transformation to Modern Delivery

Assist with Developing New Documentation Standards for Modern Delivery

* Help develop new standards for developing system documentation for proprietary products developed in JAVA and other high-level languages.
* Develop an understanding of SOX compliance and assist with developing documentation that can be used by SOX testers
* Assist scrum teams and scrum masters with business analysis, documentation, and test planning as needed
* 7+ years senior business analyst in financial institutions
* 7+ years project management, delivering software products to business users
* Undergraduate degree in Comp Sci and/or Business with a Finance concentration
* MBA helpful
* Business Analysis/Financial Products Knowledge
* JAVA and SQL experience
* Strong Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Project, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint
