Job Title: Principle Software Engineer - IT, Cyberjaya/Penang, Malaysia

About Business Unit:

The candidate will be part of the team which is responsible to re-define the back office products within Dell's IT order management, supply chain and Finance domains. As part of the team candidate will be responsible for evaluation of new open source technologies and innovating and enhancing user experience. He should be well versed with the various architectural principles and also hands on and ready to work on new generation technologies and should drive adoption of cloud based technologies. He should also be ready to take up a mentor role or lead the team and drive the team's strategy and define the success parameters for the team members and Dells business. Expectation from the candidate is for strong technical, programming and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

* Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents software according to Dell's systems quality standards, policies and procedures.
* Analyzes business needs and creates software solutions.
* Responsible for preparing design documentation.
* Prepares test data for unit, string and parallel testing.
* Evaluates and recommends software and hardware solutions to meet user needs.
* Resolves customer issues with software solutions and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
* Works with business and development teams to clarify requirements to ensure testability.
* Drafts, revises, and maintains test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.

Essential Requirements:

* Well versed with Oracle Order to Cash Process
* Strong knowledge in Oracle OM, AR, GL and EB Tax Modules
* Experience in Business Process Consulting, problem definition, Architecture/Design /Detailing of Processes with Oracle Financials/Order Management
* Should have worked on minimum 3 to 4 R12 Implementations
* Liaise with Business to provide guidance and minimize the customization
* Thorough knowledge of Application setups/configurations
* Experience in writing the Design Document, for Customizations, Interfaces and conversions
* Ability to troubleshoot issues and resolve, Strong analytical skills, Ability to perform root cause analysis
* Should be capable of independently executing CRPs, UATs, understanding Business Requirements and writing Test Scenarios/scripts.
* Other Skills/Abilities:
* Good communication and presentation skills
* Ability to set priorities under tight deadlines and pressure
