JOB DESCRIPTION:
Support the Government customer in overseeing the design, development,
manufacturing, assembly, and integration and test activities for a satellite
payload.
Develop and foster productive relationships with prime/subcontractor
counterparts and other subject matter experts.
Track development issues, significant accomplishments, and upcoming events.
Provide weekly status updates and observations to the customer (verbally and
via email).
Attend system, subsystem, and segment level design reviews and program
management reviews to assess design maturity, requirements compliance.
Provide informed assessments to the Government.
Participate in integrated product team meetings.
Attend contractor and subcontractor engineering boards including
configuration management, risk management, failure review, parts materials
and processes, manufacturing, and test readiness. Provide feedback to the
Government.
Identify and assess emerging technical and programmatic risks at the payload
and slice level. Work with the prime and subcontractor to develop and
execute mitigations.

Qualifications
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
* An active TS/SCI clearance with a current background investigation within 5 years and with willingness to consent to a polygraph examination.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* BS in Stem and 14+ years of experience in systems engineering/integration and product development
Familiarity with design, development, manufacturing, and test of satellite
hardware and software.
15+ years leadership experience with DoD/IC acquisition and program
management.
Understanding of DoD/IC satellite systems and satellite system
architectures.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building, and problem solving
skills.
Demonstrated ability to be effective in a government/contractor team
environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with budget cost accounting including earned value management.
Some domestic travel required.
