Job Description
Our client is seeking an Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) systems engineer to provide system level requirements flow down, system and sub-assembly specification updates, EO/IR system performance analysis, and hands-on systems integration and test for the ATFLIR sensor development and production program. This position is responsible for directly working on teams developing, integrating, testing, and producing an airborne, multi-mode, sensor system. The EO/IR systems engineer will be responsible for translating systems level requirements into hardware requirements, modeling system performance, and supporting system verification/validation testing. The EO/IR systems engineer is expected to work within multi-disciplinary integrated product teams (IPTs) across the product line to ensure collaboration and efficiency in product development. The EO/IR systems engineer reports directly to the program Lead Systems Engineer.
Required Skills:
* Minimum of 6 years sensing system or equivalent in a development and production organization.
* Experience with developing an engineering concept and creating a system architecture and associated requirements in support of the concept
* Experience in derivation of component and product requirements from system level requirements
* Strong technical writing and oral communication skills
* Experience interfacing with customer technical and program leadership personnel Desired Skills:
* Experience with firmware and software requirements flow down based on system level requirements
* Experience with software development in support of an integrated hardware/software system solution
* Experience conducting requirements management
* Experience with integration and test of components prior to system level testing
* Experience analyzing customer and product requirements for development of qualification test plans
* Experience with test systems development

* B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Math, Physics or related degree
Desired Education:
