We are expanding in System Test & Solution Validation

Infinera is strengthening our Continuous Integration and Verification team within RnD with System Quality Assurance Engineers. The team is responsible for System Integration testing and Solution Validation of our current and next generation optical networking products. The successful candidates will join a team with extensive system knowledge of Infinera Metro products with customer quality in focus.

Your Key Responsibilities Would Include:

Implement, perform, monitor and improve system verification tests of our existing products and products/features in development. This includes node and management systems as well as hands-on test setups in our newly expanded R&D Lab. You may also take Release Test Leader roles from time to time and take lead in test process, methods or tools discussions.

The test focus is the non-functional requirements e.g. performance characteristics, interoperability, robustness, security, stability, upgradeability, usability and maintainability.

Our goal is to automate these tests whenever suitable, to ensure we at all times have the right knowledge about our products and systems. In addition, we need to ensure that the development teams get the feedback continuously, should any implementation degrade the system level performance, via e.g. monitors or visualizations.

As a QA engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Infinera's products before the new features are released to end users. This mean that you will work with most of the company's portfolio which leads to a quick and good overall system understanding.

Education & Experience Necessary for Success:

* Master's degree in relevant field or equivalent working experience
* Experience (>10 years) within testing of embedded systems and good system understanding
* Experience in development and execution of both manual and automated tests, e.g. Py_test script knowledge
* Experience of networking protocols preferably L0/L1 and/or L2 protocols, and networking knowledge in general
* Experience from working with network operations and/or installation is an advantage
* Good knowledge in English, written and spoken
* Driven in developing test strategies, methods and processes
* Interest in tool trends in the market
* ISTQB certification or similar is an advantage
* Leadership experience, e.g. test leader, Scrum master.
* Experience in introducing a test management tool is an advantage
