What's the role?

HERE Delivery Portal and Delivery Service is responsible to provision customers/applications, account management, licensing and billing. We provide services to manage various resellers and direct customers.

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer with tried experience in the development of key internal and customer-facing applications. The Software Engineer will work closely with project managers, data analysts and other developers in a dynamic environment including multiple platforms, architectures and technologies. The individual should be ambitious, creative and dedicated, and should have a deep understanding of the software development processes and methodologies. This is a full-time position based in Burlington, Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

* Agile development of software
* Continuous integration and automated testing of developed code and continuous integration and continuous delivery of systems and infrastructure
* Investigation and root cause analysis of software and system defects
* Deployment of production ready systems and infrastructure
* Monitoring of running processes to ensure proper functioning of software
* Identifying and providing solutions for common needs across partners
* Working with end users and incorporating feedback into the product
* Work with Product Management and Architecture Team to chart Engineering backlog
* Reach out and demo the products to Customers and help them use our products efficiently
* Plan sprint backlogs and resolve any impediments
* Dedication to delivery the product on-time without compromising on quality
* Support the product 24x7x365
* Fully accountable and reachable with client centric approach to resolving issues

Who are you?

An ambitious team-player who has experience developing and deploying production-grade services in large organizations with compliance requirements. Experienced with all aspects of the production software lifecycle, from interacting with customers to crafting development plans, to selecting required tools and technologies, to software development, as well as deployment of software to production ready, stable environments. You have mature professional software development and deployment experience including knowledge of continuous integration, continuous delivery and automated testing disciplines. You incorporate feedback from the customer interaction and incorporate this into the roadmap. You also have good interpersonal skills and feel comfortable coordinating across teams in multiple time zones.

Qualifications:

* Strong, Full-stack, programming skills with 10+ years of experience, including Java, JavaScript, NodeJs, Python
* Front-end development experience with Angular, bootstrap, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Back-end experience with NodeJs, Python
* Strong experience building and using REST API and experience working with SQL database
* Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment; Git, Jenkins, GoCD
* Experience with trouble shooting distributed applications and with logging, monitoring, and reporting systems
* Experience with agile methods, DevOps tools, and running production service on cloud based environment, like AWS
* Proven experience producing and deploying production software and work well with a distributed team of strong performers
