This is a unique and challenging role in which you will be responsible for developing platform and services that can integrate external products from partners and acquisitions with GoDaddy eCommerce system.

As a Principal Software Development Engineer on the Global Product Development team, you are part of a highly collaborative team focus on building scalable/flexible services/products to accelerate GoDaddy's global expansion. Being highly creative and enthusiastic with a love for solving backend and frontend problems at all levels, from brainstorming to user experience flow and to detailed service design is a must.

You will apply your solid coding skills and hands-on experience of online service product development in daily work to constantly innovate and improve product quality and customer experience. You have passion to enable our business partners and connect customers in new ways that helps everyone succeed.

Responsibilities

* Design, implement, and maintain RESTful backend services and frontend clients in production;
* Build a scalable platform for integrating with GoDaddy partners;
* Drive cross-team technical communication and integration for product delivery.

Requirements

* 10+ years of software development experience on developing and shipping applications with RESTful backend services and customer-facing frontend;
* Experience with distributed system and database technologies, including NoSQL and SQL;
* Fluent on backend and frontend languages and frameworks, such as Java and JavaScript;
* Familiarity with open-source technology stack and practice
* Excellent communication skills.
* Experience in build ecommerce related services will be a plus.
* Experience shipping end-to-end products in cloud environment;
* BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree, with solid computer science fundamentals.
