Department Overview

The SAP Platform Architect will be part of the Platform Architecture team within Enterprise Architecture and Digital Innovation (EA&DI).

Position Summary

As part of the Platform Architecture Team the SAP Platform Architect has responsibility for the delivery of an operational, high performing ERP platform that is designed to meet business operations requirements.

The SAP Platform Architect will partner with leadership in Business Technology and Basis Administration to lead the development, maintenance and implementation of the ERP strategy and roadmap and ensure we are leveraging technologies and platforms aligned with meeting our enterprise goals. This role will specifically focus on ensuring that our SAP platforms have a well-defined roadmap and set of architectural patterns to support our partners in Business Technology and Basis Administration.

Qualifications

Minimum:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent experience
* Minimum 10 years in Information Technology
* Minimum 7 years of experience with the concepts, philosophies and tools in solution and/or platform architecture
* Minimum 5 years of experience working with SAP in both a basis administration and project delivery roles.

Desired:

* MA/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field.
* 8 years of experience in Basis Administration and Architecture.
* 4 years of experience with Enterprise Architecture designing solutions including SAP ECC, SCM, BW, CRM, SRM, PI and Enterprise Portal
* End-to-end cycle SAP ERP implementations from project preparation through go-live.
* End-to-end cycle upgrade experience with SAP ECC and at least 2 Unicode migrations.
* Experience in S/4HANA, or Suite on HANA migration
* Experience integrating SAP SaaS services to an on-premise SAP deployment
* Experience with business process modeling
* Experience with system testing
* Subject Matter Expert (SME) in information management, application delivery process and requirements analysis
* Experience with developing SAP 'Big Data' solutions with a 'Real Time' layer is a plus
* Experience with SAP Leonardo IoT is a plus

Responsibilities

* Work closely with our Business IT and Business teams to understand the business operations roadmaps, operational challenges and requirements supported by our ERP/SAP systems
* Build SAP platform and process roadmaps and designs to meet those needs
* Working with ERP leadership across project delivery and basis administration to develop and maintain an ERP strategy and roadmap that is coordinated with the broader IT ecosystem
* Proactively working with partners and vendors to evaluate new SAP technologies, capabilities and SaaS offerings. SAP Leonard and SAP 'Big Data with Real-Time' are areas of interest
* Global owner of the SAP platform/product design and roadmap
* Provide a second set of eyes on project blueprints and major design decisions to ensure we're developing solutions aligned to our enterprise ERP roadmap, from an SAP perspective
* Develop productive and positive working relationships with all key Business and IT stakeholders
* Effectively and meaningfully influence discussions and roadmaps with our Chief Architect, Business Technology Leadership Team and CIO
* Develop and maintain effective working partnerships with external influencers and groups in the SAP space
* Communicate clearly and effectively with both Business and IT stakeholders across all levels of the organization and translate Business speak to IT speak and vice versa
* Ensure that all SAP solutions follow security, compliance controls, and conformance to firm's IT security standards
* Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle of SAP systems and capabilities in the ERP ecosystem
