The Customer Engagement Platform Architect will be part of the Platform Architecture team within Enterprise Architecture and Digital Innovation (EA&DI).
As part of the Platform Architecture Team the Customer Engagement Platform Architect has responsibility for the delivery of an operational, high performing customer engagement platform that is designed to meet business operations requirements.
The Customer Engagement Platform Architect will partner with leadership in Business Technology, Customer Care and Customer Energy Solutions to lead the development, maintenance and implementation of the customer engagement platform. This role is responsible for the strategy and roadmap of our overall platform and ensures we leverage technologies and platforms that align with our enterprise goals. This role will specifically focus on ensuring that our customer engagement platforms have a well-defined roadmap and set of architectural patterns to support our partners in Business Technology and Operations.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent experience * Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Technology * Minimum 7 years of solution architecture and project implementation experience * Minimum 5 years of experience with the concepts, philosophies and tools in platform and solution architecture * Minimum 3 years of experience working with the Salesforce
* Work closely with our Business IT and Business teams to understand the business operations roadmaps, operational challenges and requirements supported by our customer engagement platform * Develops reference implementation, architectural patters and blueprints to enable the capabilities required in our customer engagement platform, which is currently Salesforce, over the next decade * Review project designs and leads the mapping of our customer engagement platform architecture to the chosen services and technology * Defines application components, platforms, interfaces, development tools, and testing approaches * Provides technical guidance to project development teams. Consults on integration and conversion activities. Recommends redesign or redevelopment. Selects technologies to provide long-term compatibility and flexibility * Analyzes organizational needs and goals to incorporate into design, development, and implementation of applications * Ensures that system and platform qualities (non-functional requirements) are appropriately defined, and that the platform architecture supports these qualities. Ensures compliance with Business and Information Architecture, Technology Standards, and Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning * Will lead, provide direction, and coordinate activities of our Salesforce Center of Excellence * Leads evaluation of platform components to determine conformance with technical standards and appropriate fit with business needs * Conducts facilitated working sessions with technical executives and experts
