Responsibilities

Deliver Quality Software

* Work with a team of developers and testers in a highly Agile environment to produce quality software to customers
* Apply development and technical skills to all aspects of QA, including manual and automated functional and integration tests and the setup of production-like environments
* Develop test plan specifications and test cases
* Build and maintain a functional regression testing suite
* Work independently, without needing a set of already formulated acceptance criteria or test cases to further explore the application and find possible coverage gaps.
* Formulate story acceptance criteria by independently gathering information and utilizing available resources to develop automated tests.
* Challenge the intent of the user story and define/refine the acceptance criteria
* Create innovative testing strategies for new products
* Ability to lead and prioritize tasks

* Gain deep knowledge of product functionality
* Be a creative thinker and problem solver and collaborate and communicate with team members. We welcome people who are willing to challenge established norms.
* Work independently with a moderate level of guidance from engineering management

Requirements

General Experience and Education

* Minimum of 10 years' experience in software quality assurance and testing
* BS or MS degree in Engineering or Computer Science
* Understanding of software architecture and ability to assess risk in early stages of development
* Demonstrate experience with object-oriented programming concepts

Testing Experience

* Ability to create and manage testing frameworks
* Extensive experience with API and Web Services
* Extensive experience with web application testing
* Hands-on experience working with SQL and Linux
* Experience working with tools such as Git, Jira, Splunk
* Experience working with AWS
* Experience using Docker
* Experience building testing frameworks for microservices
* Contract testing or Microservice testing

Collaboration

* Ability to lead project initiatives
* Ability to work and collaborate in a team-based Agile environment
* A self-starter with the ability to drive tasks and initiatives to completion with limited direction
* Analytical skills to deduce the cause of issues in a testing environment as well as a production environment
* Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment testing environments
* Implement best practices in testing procedures and provide mentoring
* Should identify areas of improvement within current QA practices and provide constructive feedback
* Ability to acquire subject matter expertise in assigned area of business

Preferences

* Application Integration and/or Data Integration (ETL) knowledge is a plus
* Experience with Test Containers, LoadStack, ECS, EC2 is a plus
