This position is responsible for providing production support to IT applications within the Diabetes group of Medtronic, and ensuring the Operational excellence (availability, performance, resiliency, monitoring) of IT application landscape. This position works closely with business users and technical teams to deliver on operational functionality and application architecture roadmap. As a senior member of IT operations and Application Team, this position supports the incident management (production outages) and provides application support (install/upgrade/integration).

The person in this role will also lead and support the DevOps initiatives (CI/CD & Automated testing).

A DAY IN THE LIFE

* Be a technical leader, drive improvement, remove waste
* Work on IT application issues / production outages (Analyze, Resolve and Root cause analysis)
* Ensure the operational health of mission critical business applications
* Work independently or with a team on projects /system & application implementations
* Work with other business groups (development and infrastructure teams) and stakeholders
* Support the application environments (Dev, Test, Prod) and work hand in hand with development teams
* Support the Salesforce environments and builds new application environments (sandbox) for development and testing
* Develop integrations and APIs in distributed application environment
* Implement the CI/CD toolchain
* Deploy automation techniques for application testing and monitoring
* Implement application monitoring - Dynatrace Appmon, DCRUM and Synthetic, open source monitoring tools (Prometheus, Nagios) and logging tools (ELK, Splunk)
* Define and document IT policies, processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
* Serve as a thought leader to identify innovation opportunities
* Define scope and timeline for a given project/task
* Mentor and train team members

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)

* Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline
* 7+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree

NICE TO HAVE

* 5+ years of IT application support experience
* 3+ years of Salesforce administration/implementation experience
* 5+ years of DevOps/SRE experience
* Strong production support experience within Java and/or .net environments
* Knowledge of Web server and Middleware Technologies
* Database and Systems support
* Strong Windows OS and Office 365 experience
* Automation and scripting
* Proficient in at least of these Programming languages - Python, Java, .net
* Well versed with Cloud (AWS, Azure) and Bigdata technologies
* Good knowledge of SDLC, Agile and Project management methodology
* Experience building CI/CD toolchain for web/mobile application development
* Sounds knowledge of Jenkins, Gitlab, Ansible, Selenium or similar tools
* Knowledge of ITIL processes and ServiceNow
* Healthcare IT experience
* Ability to lead teams and projects
* Strong interpersonal skills
