The position is located in the Project Coordination Branch, Facilities Security Division, Office of Physical Security Programs, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Countermeasures, Diplomatic Security Services, Bureau of Diplomatic Security. The incumbent serves as a Physical Security Specialist responsible for providing advice, assistance, and coordination for the installation of physical countermeasures for Level I-IV Department facilities located throughout the United States.

Responsibilities
* -Serves as Physical Security Specialist responsible for providing advice, assistance, and coordination for the installation of physical security countermeasures for Level 1-IV Department facilities. * -Provides design and coordination of the installation and maintenance of the Department's propriety integrated intrusion detection and access control systems and closed circuit television systems in all domestic facilities. * -Maintains a timeline management application plan for all security projects and coordinates the allocation of funds for all security projects. * -Conducts and maintains physical security surveys of Department's domestic facilities. * -.Develops security guidance to be included in contracts for security systems installations and other work to be performed at the Department domestic facilities.

year of specialized experience equivalent to the

duties of the position. Qualifying
specialized experience must demonstrate the
following:
* Experience providing guidance related to physical security concepts, principles, methods, and practices in order to provide assistance and coordination in the selection and installation of physical security systems. * Experience designing and coordinating the installation of physical security devices, systems and equipment. * Experience researching, analyzing and evaluating security related information obtained from a variety of sources for planning and coordinating of physical security projects. * Experience conducting physical security surveys of facilities.

specialized experience for the GS-12
position.
