Description:

Position summary:

Client is seeking an Application Developer for the Office of Information Technology. This position is under the direction of a Project Manager/Associate Director for Enterprise Application Services (EAS), provides analytical and technical support for the client's Oracle Cloud ERP/Financial Management System. The Application Developer is responsible for production support, integration, analysis, planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Cloud ERP and subsequent phases. Among the key duties are the following:

* Writes new code and/or maintains existing code for interfaces, reports, and extensions for the Cloud ERP that will provide the user with applications for reporting and updating databases as required.
* Prepares tests that will verify that the unit program is working, but more importantly, also demonstrate through integration and/or system testing that the new or revised programs does not adversely impact the operational integrity of the entire application system
* Works closely with Business areas to troubleshoot production issues, identifies and recommends solutions; logs SRs and works with Oracle support as needed, develops new codes or modifies code as necessary; coordinates testing with end users.
* Performs analysis and develops a detailed design of new and existing system requests.
* Creates and maintains technical documentation for Reports, Interfaces, Configurations, and Extension (RICE) objects.
* Create and support Security Roles and Create/modify Batch job schedules.
* Consults with the Associate Director/Project Manager and user departments' staff as required to gather and/or clarify requirements for proposed development projects and system enhancements and maintenance; identifies and suggests business and systems solutions to problems.
* Provides guidance and works closely with other team members.

Minimum education:

Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field or equivalent education and experience with four or more years of relevant work experience to provide strong technical knowledge of programming and analysis and senior or lead experience.

Required technical skills:

Experience with Java programming, J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition), Oracle Application Development Framework and Fusion Middleware - ADF (Faces), ADF BC, ADF Tasks Flows/Portlets, Web Services.

Preferred qualifications:

Recent experience with the following:

* Relational and hierarchical data base concepts and design
* Oracle RDBMS
* Strong JAVA platform programming techniques with Web design experience;
* UNIX and/or Linux, MS Window
* Java, Javascript, PL/SQL, Unix Shell
* Oracle Ebusiness suite - Financials, Procurement, Projects and Grants Management modules
* Experience with Eclipse, Git, CVS, JIRA, and Confluence is preferred.
* Structured programming techniques
* A good understanding of software SDLC
* Experience in customization using PaaS - Java Cloud Service SaaS Extensions PaaS(JCSSX), DBCS, ICS, customizing the integration, data consumption using web services and web service security
* Experience in developing BIP (Business Intelligence Publisher) Reports, Data conversions using FBDI (File Based Data Import) Templates creating ESS (Enterprise Scheduler Service) Jobs.
* Experience with Unix scripting, developing web services: RESTful, SOAP, WSDL.
* Experience with Oracle Identity Management for the Cloud, provisioning/deprovisioning.
* Ability to understand complex, integrated, state-of-the-art and legacy computer systems.
* Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
