This position is focused on leading a team providing Transport Network Solutions (L0, L1 & L2) to CSPs and TXLEs Primarily in the United States. The team is responsible for doing portfolio presentations, business case presentations, low and high level network design, customer trials, This group is the primary technical relationship owner for our customers. Candidate must be developing their expertise on NOKIA Optical Network solutions portfolio and next generation WDM, Ethernet, & OTN technologies.

Consulting Engineering: Technical ownership of every opportunity for Optical Networking working in constant coordination with NOKIA Commercial Teams. Must develop strong relationship at customer management and Sr. Management level. Support and/or lead of the development of potential new customers. Must be able to lead a team and work independently in a player-coach roll. Must contribute and help others to contribute their best at the same time. Must be able to establish a plan, communicate that plan, and enlist the help needed inside Nokia to fulfill said plan.

Management Role: Lead a team of Consulting Engineers of different skill sets at different skill levels, responsible for the Service Provider and Enterprise networks space in North America. Provide guidance on the market, pricing, strategy, and technical solutions. Identify insertion points for breaking into new accounts and ways to grow existing accounts. Work with the Business Development lead and CO leadership as the Optical solutions expert on the assigned accounts.

Qualifications:

The candidate must have management experience as well as a record of successful customer engagements and history in the identified market space.

The candidate must have experience on WDM systems, OTN, GMPLS/ASON, ETH, technologies, ready to lead network solution design and understand the optical sales and after sales care cycle. The candidate will be asked to work in collaboration with other part of the organization and will need to be comfortable with virtual teams and running multiple projects at once.

Traveling in North America is expected.
