Operations Support Technician

* Location: Stafford, VA
* Clearance: Active TS/SCI with eligibilty for Poly
* Education: Associates, BS (or MS) in a related technical discipline or significant experience relevant to cyber security, operations management, or project support in lieu of a degree
* Years of Experience: 5-10+ years of experience as Operations Support Technician/Systems Administrator/Network Administrator

Position Overview

As a Operations Support Technician, you will have the opportunity to:

* Ensure all mission critical hardware and software perform as intended
* Maintain operationlly sound equipment and document base line processess and configuration controls
* Maintain back-ups, upgrades, patches, eveluate code, and provide feedback regarding NMAP, vulnerabilities PCAP, and other security policies
* Effectively communicate plans, requirements, results and information to customers at a variety of management levels and technical backgrounds
* Thrive in a dynamic environment in which flexibility, adaptability, and initative are rewarded

Required Qualifications

* Associates, BS (or MS) in a related technical discipline or significant experience relevant to cyber security, operations management, or project support in lieu of a degree
* 5-10+ years of experience as Operations Support Technician/Systems Administrator/Network Administrator
* A willingness to support a rotational 24/7 call-out role with the availability to work remotely in a limited capacity during those instances
* Active TS/SCI with eligibilty for Poly

Desired Qualifications

* Expereince with virtual, Linux and Windows machines
* Experience with web applications
* Prior military/federal service and/or project lead experience
* Working experience using command line interface
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
* Basic network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSH, Telnet)
* Desktop systems: OS/Linux (CENTOS/UBUNTU) Windows/MAC desktop systems
* Switches/Routers: CISCO/Juniper/Watchguard
* Wireless Access points
* Server: Dell
* Server OS: MS 2012R2/Linux/ESXi
* Virtualization: Vsphere/AHV
* Storage Management
* Network Monitoring: Nagios/Wireshark
* Firewall: CISCO Adaptive Security Appliance/PFSENSE
* IDS: Snort/BRO
* PROXY: Squid
* Application Administration: Confluence/JIRA/SVN/CHAT
* Database Administration: Postgresql/SQLite etc
