Job Description

Facebook's Infrastructure Data Center Program Management team (DCPM) manages program portfolios of Data Center new builds and large network retrofit programs from initiation to production live. We are a geographically dispersed, multi-disciplined team of program managers, delivering critical end-to-end scheduling, issue and risk tracking, process improvements and communications for all key stakeholders across Facebook's fleet of Data Centers. The team will continue to grow as we expand our Data Center fleet globally and we are therefore seeking a Program Manager (PM) to join the team in our Fremont, CA location. We require you to own a suite of Data center programs across and oversee and drive multiple complex, cross-functional, high impact programs in collaboration with all stakeholders. This role is located in Fremont, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage cross-functional site infrastructure programs in a matrix organization



Plan, coordinate and drive major maintenance initiatives and Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC) events in the data centers

Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time completion

Interface with engineering teams and construction and design teams and business owners for project requirements and scope

Identify operational pain points and opportunities to improve business practices and prioritize resources in areas that will deliver the greatest impact

Perform risk management and change management on programs

Drive blocking issues to problem resolution and assign owners, despite high ambiguity and uncertainty

Gather and prioritize stakeholders' requirements for current and future program phases

Ensure there is communication between various groups and programs. Maintain program status wiki pages and provide frequent program updates. Identify and communicate risks and adjustments to the overall program

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* 5+ years work experience in Project Management with a demonstrated track record of delivering business value using technology solutions in high-tech operations space



Project management, interpersonal, and communication experience

Coordination experience

Experience executing on multiple tasks simultaneously and to work without supervision

Experience defining program roadmaps, translating strategic initiatives into actual programs of deliverable work

Problem solving experience with experience delivering solutions

Experience in collaborating with different individuals across the organization and within other geographies in order to accomplish all necessary tasks

Organizational and time management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in MIS, computer science, systems engineering, business, or a related field.



Certified Project Manager e.g. PMI/PMP, Prince2, Scrum Master who is seasoned at hands-on management of multiple projects concurrently.

Experience working in a Data Center environment.
