Job Description

- Experience working with JavaScript.
* Experience working with client databases (SQL/Oracle).
* Experience working with (Apache, Tomcat, IIS) web applications.
* Experience with web development languages (HTML, XML, CSS).
* Experience working on Linux and/or Windows servers.
* Detail-oriented approach with excellent follow-through, particularly in terms of documentation and procedures.
* Ability to coach and lead team to project completion.

The Operations Engineer provides expert email and telephone-based support for PeopleFluent Learning's hosted and remote systems and is responsible for diagnosing complex software-, database-, and network-related issues, in coordination with other software experts across the Client Support, Development Engineering, and Hosting teams.

This role is part of a global team, so you will interact with teammates in various parts of North America, Asia, and Europe, including a group of talented engineers in the Hong Kong office. This job is not about meeting SLAs; it's about earning the deep respect of our customers, in easy times and hard ones.

You will typically work normal business hours, but there will be a need for extra hours from time to time to meet demand. If you can learn quickly in novel circumstances, solve unique technical issues through a systematic analysis of presented challenges, find and sustain motivation from within yourself to pursue excellence relentlessly every day, and stay calm when things get tough, this could be the role for you.

We don't expect you to know everything, so we will capitalize on your strengths and train you over time where there's opportunity for growth, but we do expect to hire someone who can immediately make an impact from the technical perspective. You will need a history of providing great customer service while solving difficult technical problems.
