About Us: Established in 1981, SURVICE is a nationally recognized, single-source engineering service provider for Government and Industry organizations involved in all phases of the systems engineering process. We're proud to have supported the development, testing, and analysis of many of the major U.S. combat systems in the field today. In addition, we've helped create a central repository of defense systems related information and resources routinely used by analysts, testers, and other specialists.

SURVICE Engineering is seeking a full-time Office Manager to provide support for the development of a biannual Defense Research and Engineering Journal publication. This position will be part of the Defense Systems Information Analysis Center (DSIAC), which is operated by SURVICE Engineering for the Department of Defense (DoD). The Office Manager will coordinate with the rest of the journal development team and Government counterparts to ensure maintenance of quality standards in publishing this scientific journal. Specifically, this includes maintaining electronic publication sites, assisting with journal planning, helping maintain tracking documents, organization and maintenance of databases, assisting in user registration, and preparing and coordinating meetings in support of journal promotion activities and development

Work Location: Fort Belvoir, VA.

Qualifications:

* Must have an active DoD security clearance
* AA or BA Degree preferably in English or Communications.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in general office administrative duties. The ideal candidate will possess prior office management experience working in a Government Office environment.
* Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with the DoD Information Analysis Center (DoD IAC) program or mission of the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) is a plus.
* Highly desire someone that is proficient in all applications of the MS Office Professional suite to include: Official document quality publication in MS Word; MS Excel; data basing in MS Access, presentations in MS PowerPoint, and utilization of MS Project.
* Must have experience in operating in an automated work-flow process environment such as SharePoint.
* Must be experienced researching and navigating databases to include basics of Boolean searches and establishing metadata to support literature searches of databases.
* Must be very customer focused and have good listening and verbal communication skills, telephone skills, and research skills.
* Must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills over the phone and in writing.
* Very strong attention to detail
